BENEFITS OF SWEATING

TOTAL BODY WELLNESS

Sweatology technology allows for increased sessions providing higher detoxification. Experience glowing beauty, cleansing immunity and more from the proactive benefits of a vibrant sweat.

RECOVER

Infrared heat can greatly benefit the sore, damaged, or tired muscles of an athlete. The heat penetrates the muscles, increasing blood circulation and assisting with muscle repair. Infrared heat will also help in the reduction of lactic acids, allowing tight and worn-out muscles to relax and rejuvenate.

DETOX

Infrared saunas detoxify seven times more than traditional saunas---releasing your body of harmful toxins that impede regular functions.

WEIGHT LOSS

Studies have shown that an infrared sauna session can burn upwards of 600 calories while you relax.

ANTI-AGE

Infrared sauna use increases circulation which revitalizes the skin, helps reduce pores, and stimulates collagen production to reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin tone throughout the body.

HEAL

Infrared light has been proven to kill even the most resistant types of bacteria and allows it to initiate the killing of pathogens in a wound that has become infected.

RELIEVE

Infrared penetrates tissues, joints and muscles to relieve aches and pains stemming from overuse, strain or repetitive motion. Pain management professionals incorporate infrared heat therapy into treatment plans to decrease pain and muscle spasms and to speed up recovery time.

RELAX

Infrared saunas decrease cortisol and increase serotonin. During a session, your body’s muscles are warmed by infrared heat. This helps to release the stress and fatigue brought on by muscle tension.

STIMULATE

Infrared saunas stimulate the circulatory system and oxygenate the body’s cells. The increase in blood flow results in greater overall vitality---just like a workout, but without the workout!

A CLEAN SWEAT

Infrared heat kills 99% of bacteria, creating an inherently sterile environment. Relax your mind and rejuvenate your body in confidence.

THE EXPERIENCE

Infrared saunas heat you very gently and slowly, making it a very peaceful experience for most people. You may find that you do not sweat for the first 10-15 minutes, or not very much at all your first time. With increased usage, you will likely notice an increased ability to sweat more productively.

Because you are in a private suite during your sauna session, you can choose to relax however you please during this time. Some choose to disconnect and meditate, while others listen to music or a podcast. It is completely up to you!

It is important to note that with our sauna pods, your head is not in the sauna and not being heated. This allows for a much more comfortable sweat session.

After sweating, you will feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. You may notice glowing skin, diminished wrinkles, muscle and injury relief, as well as a sense of calmness.

How TO PREPARE

DRINK UP

We recommend coming fully hydrated and even eating a little snack before your sweat session. It is important to drink plenty of water before, during and after your sweat. We have complimentary water available should you choose to bring your reusable bottle, as well as cold-pressed juices and bottled water available for purchase.

WHAT TO WEAR

We recommend sweating in as little (or no) clothing as possible. Loose-fitting clothing or athleisure wear is ideal to wear after your appointment. We provide all towels and even cold towels to use during your session.

REMOVE MAKEUP, LOTIONS AND OILS

We recommend removing makeup and any lotions or oils before your sweat session. We have makeup remover wipes available for use. Clean skin ensures that you are not letting any toxins in while you are sweating toxins out. Bare skin is recommended for sauna use, as some ingredients in lotions/creams can react with the heat, causing a rash or burn. If you have recently had a spray tan or applied self-tanner, it is best to postpone your sauna session.

LET US KNOW

While sauna therapy is considered safe, it is not for everyone. We want you to have a safe and enjoyable sweat, so let us know about your past sauna experiences or any health conditions you may have. Please remember we are not medical professionals and always recommend checking with your primary physician if you have any questions or concerns regarding infrared sauna use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHY SHOULD I SWEAT?

Where do we begin?! There are so many benefits from sweating that it has become a celebrity “must have" in their beauty and fitness routine. Sweating is a great way to help realize your personal fitness, wellness and beauty goals. By increasing circulation, your body benefits from a number of positive effects, such as glowing skin, pain relief, weight loss, stress relief, increased athletic performance, improved immune function, injury recovery and more.

WHAT IS INFRARED HEAT?

Infrared is a light wave of electromagnetic spectrum, that is invisible to the human eye. It penetrates human tissue, which in turn produces a host of anti-aging and health benefits.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL SAUNAS?

We get this question a lot! Unlike traditional Finnish convection saunas which heat the body from the outside-in, resulting in hot, often intolerable air, our medical-grade infrared saunas heat the body from the inside-out, leaving the air pleasant and comfortable, allowing for a longer sweat. In your sauna pods, your head is out and not exposed to the high heat.

HOW MANY CALORIES DO YOU BURN IN ONE SESSION?

Get ready for something that will blow your mind! You can burn upwards of 600 calories in just one 30-minute sweat session. Yes, you read that right. You can burn up to 600 calories just by relaxing. We like to call it “effective relaxation.”

HOW DO YOU BURN CALORIES WHILE SWEATING?

Infrared saunas have been proven to aid in weight loss by heating your core temperature to induce sweating. Increases in blood flow and heart rate are a result, which, much like moderate exercise, has shown to help you lose weight. Saunas also help you lose weight by easing aches and pains associated with weight training, helping you get back into the gym the next day.

HOW LONG IS A SESSION?

Our standard sweat sessions is 30 minutes long. However, if you are a veteran to sweating, we also offer power sweat sessions that last for 45 minutes.

HOW MANY TIMES A DAY (OR WEEK) CAN I SWEAT?

We only allow one sweat session per day. Depending on your goals, most people sweat one to three times per week. It is safe to sweat every day.

IS SWEATING SAFE FOR EVERYONE?

While sauna therapy is considered safe, it is not for everyone. We want you to have a safe and enjoyable sweat, so let us know about your past sauna experiences or any health conditions you may have. We are not medical professionals and always recommend checking with your physician if you are on medication or have concerns prior to booking a session. Pregnant women should not sweat. If you have hemophilia, we do not recommend sweating. If you have been advised to stay away from heat or have any concerns regarding medical conditions, please check with your physician. If you have had an abdominal surgery, tummy tuck, c-section or breast augmentation, consult a physician prior to using our saunas to ensure that it is approved for use.

If any of the below apply to you, please consult your physician prior to sauna use:

  • Current fever or infection

CAN I SWEAT WHILE BREASTFEEDING?

We recommend postponing your sauna session if you are currently breastfeeding. Some may see a decrease in milk production.

CAN I BRING MY CHILD(REN)?

Due to liability reasons, only those who are sweating can be in the room during sauna sessions. We also cannot have children left unattended in the lobby at any time for liability reasons. Please make alternative arrangements for childcare if you will be coming in to sweat.

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT?

Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to use the sauna.

WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE?

We will do our very best to accommodate you, but cannot guarantee availability.

WHAT ARE THE RED SPLOTCHES ON MY BODY?

This deep layer heating causes blood vessels and capillaries to dilate for better circulation. This red pattern is you being able to physically see this process. It will go away on its own within a few hours.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
